Michelle Obama celebrates moms with Martha Stewart

Mother's Day is just around the corner, and two of the most famous moms on the planet -- Michelle Obama and Martha Stewart -- have joined forces to celebrate the big day. Martha Stewart Presents: America's Moms- A Celebration Of Military Families With Michelle Obama And Jill Biden premieres next Sunday on the Hallmark Channel and recognizes those families who make the ultimate sacrifice.

"Watching these men and women who stay behind and do it with such grace and dignity, it just makes me want to do my job even better and take care of my kids, but make sure that I'm contributing to the broader community and juggling like those women are juggling, and doing it without complaining, and realizing the blessings that these positions offer, and not wallowing in the minor inconveniences that come along with it," says Obama. "Those women show me how to be better at what I'm doing."

Stewart taped the special at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina, where she chatted with three pregnant women whose husbands have been deployed and discussed the launch of the Joining Forces initiative with Obama and Biden.

Of her visit with military families, Stewart says, "On military bases everywhere, there are many women going through pregnancy and childbirth without their spouses, and we can learn a lot from them and the sacrifices they make while their husbands are away serving their country. I hope we brought them a bit of joy by recognizing their enormous contributions, and by teaching them how they can continue to make memories for their families while their loved ones are deployed."
