Kirstie Alley gave the much-younger dancer Ted Volynets a smooch in Manhattan on Wednesday.Might Maksim Chmerkovskiy be Kirstie Alley's matchmaker and not her beau?
Despite the persistent romance rumors surrounding the "Dancing with the Stars" competitors, the actress was caught locking lips with another guy connected to the show.
Alley, 60, was photographed kissing Ted Volynets, a member of the "DWTS" troupe, in Manhattan on Wednesday.
The pair apparently got close as Alley competed on "DWTS" this past season ? and likely through Chmerkovskiy himself, who has served as Volynets' dance coach for a number of years.
The much-younger dancer, who according to an ABC press release was studying economics at New York University this year, has taken up much of Alley's Twitter feed lately, with the two exchanging tweets and photos.
On Tuesday, Alley gushed that Volynets would be in a photo shoot with her and she later shared pictures from their downtime on the set.

"Teddy is a poet, a writer, a dancer, and Much much more," she wrote on Twitter. "Renaissance Man!"
And he had plenty of praise for Alley as well.
"Kirstie is an acting, dancing, self-reinventing CLASS machine, who puts the woo in woman," he tweeted in reply.
Of course, even though Alley also proclaimed that their "love is real? so damn real," they may be nothing more than flirtatious friends, just like Alley and Chmerkovskiy seem to be.
"Once in a while someone comes along in your life who changes how you see it," Chmerkovskiy said at the Dance With Me Studios "All the Right Moves!" summer showcase on Sunday.
"You're the best thing that's happened to me in a very long time," he told Alley.
Volynets, unsurprisingly, was also in attendance.
