Blue intend to stick together now
Blue thought they were in with a chance of winning the Eurovision Song Contest for the UK last night with self-penned number I Can, but they ended up in 11th position.
X Factor finalists Jedward, representing Ireland, romped ahead of them.
Twins John and Edward Grimes were voted into 8th place with Lipstick, which wasn't that much of a surprise to Duncan James, 33, Lee Ryan, 27, Simon Webbe, 32 and Antony Costa, 29.
'[Jedward are] a novelty act and we're a vocal group but their song is very Eurovision, and if they beat us, fine,' Antony said before the show.
'If we beat them, brilliant.'
Blue reunited after splitting in 2004 and are now planning a permanent
comeback.
'We don't see this as career suicide, although a lot of people in the UK do see it that way,' says Simon.
'Eurovision is about music bringing a wide audience of people together.'
Azerbaijan duo Ell and Nikki won Eurovision this year in Dusseldorf with romantic duet Running Scared.
The UK last triumphed in 1997 represented by Katrina And The Waves. Last year's British entry, Josh Dubovie, came last.
Ireland has had the most wins over the years, triumphing 7 times.
