Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are spicing up their marriage in a luxurious suite at New York's Bowery Hotel.
Just a short walk from their Manhatten apartment, the couple have been checking into the room for ?passionate love-ins' as an X-rated alternative to date night.
According to our source, Tom, 48, and Katie, 32, fork out �3,000 a night for their trysts.
And it's working a treat for the pair, who got married in Italy in November 2006.
Our mole says: ?It was Katie's idea. She's struck up an arrangement with the hotel to keep their best suite on hold for her and Tom for whenever passion strikes.
?They're often in New York because Tom's main Scientology-related charity is there and they both feel more at home in the Big Apple than in Los Angeles.
Katie likes staying in New York - she loves fashion and prefers the shops there.'
But why check in to a hotel when they have a multimillion-dollar apartment mere blocks away?
?They use the hotel because they're uncomfortable about having sex while Suri's also in the apartment,' reveals our insider.
?Katie's mortified at the idea their daughter could accidentally walk in at any time and she felt it inhibited them, so this was her solution.'
