After months of intense planning and the huge spectacle of a wedding, Prince William and Kate Middleton have officially left for their romantic honeymoon.According to the BBC, Clarence House confirmed their couple's departure on Monday.
"We are not confirming, and we are not commenting, on speculation on where they may be going on their private honeymoon, we are just confirming that they have gone," a spokesman said, adding, "The couple have asked that their privacy be respected during their honeymoon."
Though the exact location of their getaway will not be released, the UK's Daily Mail reports that the newlyweds have jetted off to a private island in the Seychelles, located in the Indian Ocean.
According to the British paper, the couple will stay in a �4,000-a-night villa, where a private butler and personal chef will cater to the their every need.
According to a source, "It's one of the most incredible places you will ever visit and Kate will have the time of her life. It's everything you could want from a honeymoon destination and more -- beautiful beaches, tropical seas and complete privacy."
The newly-named Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were supposed to jet off on their vacation following last month's wedding. However, due to the intense media scrutiny over the honeymoon's location, the couple decided to postpone it for a few weeks.
Prince William headed back to work as a search-and-rescue pilot just days following the wedding, while Middleton was spotted out grocery shopping on her own earlier this week.
