Kate Middleton married Prince William on 29 April

Kate Middleton is taking French lessons to get ready for her tour of Canada with new husband Prince William, which kicks off on 30 June.

The couple will be visiting the French-speaking province of Quebec and Kate, 29, wants to make sure she makes an effort to fit in.

'[Kate] and William already have some knowledge of French but they are keen to brush up as much as possible before they go,' a source tells the Daily Mirror.

'She is also learning about the places they will visit and the people and organisations they will meet.

'There is a lot to take in.'�

The trip will be the couple's first official tour together and, along with other engagements, the Kate and Wills, both 29, will visit L'Institute De Tourisme Et D'hotellerie Du Quebec.

The newlyweds will be getting their hands dirty in the kitchen of the training school for the catering and hospitality business.

'Their Royal Highnesses will join the students in a tutorial in a working kitchen,' reveals Kate and Wills' Private Secretary Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton.

'They'll be learning to prepare a few dishes, putting on an apron,
and rolling their sleeves up.'
